What you’ll need: 

BB30R Chunky Knitted Patch Beanie 

3 sheets of backing paper 

1 sheet of tearaway plastic film 

1 tubular embroidery hoop  

Black marker pen 

 

Steps: 

1. Turn the cuffed beanie inside out so it lies flat. Place all three sheets of backing paper inside the beanie, ensuring they fully cover the area to be embroidered. 
2. Position the tearaway plastic film over the patch, then place the tubular hoop on top. Make sure it sits straight and isn’t pulling on the fabric. Mark a small dot at the centre of your design to help with machine alignment. 
3. Secure the hoop and place the beanie into the embroidery machine, ensuring it isn’t caught on the carriage. 
4. Line up the needle and trace the design. Once you’re happy with the placement, start the embroidery. 
5. When complete, remove the hoop, then carefully tear away the plastic film and backing paper. 
6. Fold the cuff back over and your finished design is ready to go!
