We asked Mike White, Sales Manager at Kustom Kit some questions on the brand and the campaign. Here's what he had to say.
Kustom Kit is a well known brand within the industry. What do you think makes the brand a popular choice for printers and embroiderers?
From my experience working for a printer/embroiderer for 17 years, Kustom Kit has been a popular choice for several reasons: the premium fabric on all garment styles offers the perfect base for decoration, there are great levels of stock as standard, there is a consistency of quality, fits, sizes and colours in both Men’s & Women’s styles, and lastly, the outstanding durability has performed exceptionally well historically within the workwear, hospitality and promotional industries.
You have just launched an affordable essentials campaign which we have based this article around. What was the inspiration behind this campaign and how do you think the market will respond?
Kustom Kit has a fantastic reputation in the workwear and promotional industry for premium quality shirts, polos etc. The Affordable Essentials campaign gives us the opportunity to highlight our offering of lower-priced garments without compromising on quality. The hope is the campaign will have a positive response to the multiple price points Kustom Kit can offer.
What are your favourite pieces from the campaign and why?
It’s difficult to pick a favourite piece, as the campaign is about highlighting how Kustom Kit are working hard to offer more choices in versatile key pieces at lower prices. If I had to pick one piece, it would be the KK333 Regular Fit Hoodie. Constructed from a blend of 80% ring spun combed cotton and 20% polyester, it has a brushed back for a soft hand feel and a versatile weight of 280gsm. Thanks to the polyester fibre being introduced at the core of the fabric, the knit benefits from a 100% cotton printing surface, making it the perfect choice for DTG printing.
Have you seen any major changes within the industry recently, and do you predict any in the coming years?
I could write a book based on my experiences over the last 3 years! Buying trends have changed due to hybrid working with businesses cutting back on staff uniforms (shirts/knitwear etc.) in favour of allowing employees to wear more casual styles. In the coming years, I see the workforce moving away from casual wear and a return to smarter corporate shirts.
Thank you Mike!
