Mantis Wash and Wear

The sales and marketing team recently did some brand training with one of our popular, environmentally friendly brands, Mantis. We were given an extremely in depth, informative presentation about all of the Mantis and Babybugz products from their organic raw materials to their marketing activities. 

The brands transparent supply chain really is unmatched!

After the presentation the brand was kind enough to give the team a sample of their choice from the collection so we could see for ourselves how good the quality of these garments are. We set the team a challenge to wear and wash their garment three times over the course of a month and report back with feedback. You can read the team's responses below.

M194 - THE SWEATSHIRT

'I am a big fan of the M194 sweatshirt. The Soft Pink colour-way is really subtle/delicate and the fit was super. Felt like a lightweight 280gsm and wasn’t too soft like some sweatshirts can be. I’ve been wearing it to WFH but also went golfing in it once. Can confirm it washed great.' - James

'I chose the M194 sweatshirt in Heather Grey as I knew it would go with lots of outfits. I also chose to size up twice for an oversized style and it sits really nicely tucked into jeans but also baggy with leggings. I have worn it 4 times and washed it twice. I can report it has held up in the wash and there is no sign of bobbling!' - Ashleigh

'I have the sweatshirt in Soft Olive. It was really nice to wear, comfy, nice soft fabric, and the fit was perfect. It washed well with no problem at all. Colour intact, with nothing on the colour catcher! No issues with hanging threads, or bobbling, or any of the other issues you sometimes see. M126 - LONG LENGTH T-SHIRT

'I ordered the M126 in white, and have worn it roughly 3 times. It washes really well, and has held its shape, and still looks brand new! The quality is really really good and still feels soft to the touch after a few washes. I would recommend the M126 to anyone, and knowing that it was made responsibly feels good too 😊'

M73 - THE SUPERSTAR HOODIE

'I had the M73 Superstar Hoodies in Forest Green, and I have to say, if I didn’t know it was Mantis, I would have thought it was a Ralph Lauren Hoodie. The quality is great and it is very comfortable. I gave it to a friend to try on and to see what they think, and it was a struggle to get the sweater back off him. 😊 There were no issues with threading or fading either."

'I got the M73 in Swiss Navy and it washes really well. You sometimes find with darker colours that they fade quickly but so far so good. There was no discoloration. The fabric also doesn't shrink. It is really warm and has survived the long dog walks!'
